WORK EXPERIENCE

 

GXT LTD. – CAD Technician                    Richardson, TX (Nov. 2014 – Present)

Working closely with OSP Engineers to design construction blueprints for Fiber Optic Cable installation routes.  Using AutoCAD Map 2015, Bing Maps, and Google Earth to create detailed drawings and MS Office for supporting documentation.

Duties include to create and maintain electrical, mechanical, and facilities drawings in AutoCAD 2013 and supporting documentation in MS Word and Excel.  Measurement taking of equipment and factory layout.

Designed automated factory equipment for the printing and bookbindery industry in AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop. The equipment was used to manipulate books and magazines for assembly including: book turners, book turnovers, card feeders, and conveyors.  Worked closely with the sales and management to ensure that the equipment met design intent of the customer.  Responsible for maintaining assembly drawings, bill of materials, and related product documents.  MS Office was used for bill of materials

NORTH AMERICAN LIGHTING – CAD Technician                                                                    Flora, IL (May. 1995 - Sept.1998)

Assigned to design and assisting the engineering department in producing 3D models for automotive lighting parts produced by NAL.  My duties included the redrawing of 2D existing prints into a 3D surface model and creating 2D prints from that model to create a standard parts library.  Dimensional analysis of 3D models for tooling Engineers and dimensional lab.  Create and maintain 2D tabulated part number prints.  Created 2D packaging drawings and tabulated part number prints.  Creation of charts and spreadsheets for engineering meetings.
